This was the year of the Boy Scout World Jamboree and I was lucky
enough to attend with my dad. As I look back, the greatest
experience was to have so many young people like me from so many
countires interacting together. I can't think of any other
opportunity like that to bring so many cultures together.
Before we arrived in the Jamboree in Korea, we toured Tokyo for 5 days.
We visited Mt. Fuji, Hakone National Park, Kegon Waterfall, the endless
electronic shops, the Hard Rock Cafe and more.
We left at 12:30PM on JUly 31st on a 11 1/2 hour flight to Tokyo, and we landed at 4PM. We went to Hotel Urashima.
The next day, on August 2nd we went to visit Mt. Fuji. The clouds were below us.
On the 3rd we boarded a bullet train in the morning to Nikko,
Japan. We visited an ancient shrine with amazing
architecture. In the evening we visited Hard Rock
Cafe Tokyo.
On the 4th we visited the Imperial Palace and the Jeiji Shrine.
Later in the afternoon we went to Hibiya for shopping. Then we
went to Akihabara where EVERY shop/building was an electronics store.
