After reading The Last Lecture (see other entry) I tried to recollect my childhood dreams. Here is what I came up with:

Achieved:

Earn a good living (I am an accountant)

Live in my own detached house (for about 3 months in 2001)

Live in another country (I thought it would be America, but Hong Kong will do)

See Blackbird SR71 spy plane (I was into model aircraft...there is an aircraft carrier in New York that is now a museum, it has a Blackbird on its deck and I visited in 1998)

Not (yet) achieved:

See aurora borealis

Own a sports car

Learn to fly

Learn to ride a motorbike

I will be trying to accomplish some more of these dreams as I travel. I also wonder if my parents are aware of any dreams that I have missed?

By the way, I highly recommend trying to come up with your own list. I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours with my eyes closed, trying to cast my mind back to when I was seven or eight...it was an excellent exercise in meditation, and to be honest I was relieved to have achieved at least some!
