It's hard to put into words how crazy Amsterdam is. Once we arrived we attempted to find our campground and proceeded to get completely lost. Amsterdam's bus system is very difficult. We had on bus driver make fun of us because he saw us at Central Station about an hour before we boarded his bus. After settling into our cute little cabin we immediately headed back into the city to meet up with Carlene and her boyfriend, Jason. (Emma and Carlene were friends at the University of Washington) We started off the night by doing a little bar hopping. We also jumped into a tour of the bars and got some free drinks. We were exploring the city and wanted to take pictures of us throughout the city. Thinking it would be fun to get a picture of us on a house boat we jumped onto to a seemingly abandoned boat. As we were taking the picture a large fist started pounding on the window behind us. Ooopppps guess it wasn't unoccupied. Carlene, Emma and Wells tried to have a race weaving between pedestrian poles that were about 5 feet apart. As you will see from the picture Emma did not succeed. However, she did succeed in run full speed into on of the poles. Ouch. Unsure of how to get back to our campground we went back to Carlene and Jason's hostel. Downstairs is a bar with a stripper pole where Carlene, Wells and Jason started to strut their stuff on the pole. The girls were put to shame by Jason who was surprisingly good at pole dancing. Wells did manage to become completely inverted on the pole with a little help. This concludes our first night in Amsterdam.

Hope you get to Oslo in one piece. When you go to Barcelona be sure to go to look for architecture by Antoni Gaudi. Go to the Park Gruell, an outdoor park designed by Gaudi with tile buildings and benches, and the Sagrada Famili, a church whose spires look like they are built with molten rock, started by Gaudi and now being finished by others. Wells, take some pictures of Gaudi's buildings. You might even be able to see two commercial buildings called Casa Batlo and Casa Mila.
Be sure to go to the Picasso Museum and look Pablo's art when he was a kid until age 19.
Good job with your trip blog.
