Ok, so you've probably noticed I've developed a slight obsession with the Opera House ...
A I didn't think I would be able to afford to see a performance at the Opera House, I decided to do a tour instead. It was really impressive anjd very interesting hearing about the history of the building. It was designed by a Danish architect called Jorn Utzon and took over 10 years to complete by which time the project was badly over budget and Utzon had resigned and left the country. He was asked a few years back to oversee any future develpments to the Opera House, a role that his architect son has since taken over. Theres currently a campaign in Australia to get it to become one of the new Wonders of the World. I'm not sure how it compares to the Pyramids or the Colosseum but its certainly iconic!
