Woke up late and met up with M.C. to finalize plans for the rest of the trip. Will have to get up super early tomorrow and head to Delphi, spend some tme there before heading to Kampalabaka, Meteora. From there take a train back to Athens where hopefully we can take an overnight ferry to Santorini.
With that being planned and it being Easter Sunday, MC and I headed down to Plaka and I bought 2 pairs of leather sandals. A bit pricey, but I figure I was going to spend the money in Athens anyways on admission, why not continue to spend money in Athens. At Plaka, bumped into some people that teach at the British Columbia School in Egypt, a total surprise but very cool to see people you know on trips. Had a late lunch at a restuarant where we sat besides Americans who knew where Winnipeg was (they were from Fargo).
After lunch MC and I headed to the bus terminal o see Cape Sounion to see the Temple of Poseidon. Got on the bus around 5:30 and didn't arrive to the temple till 7 and found out that it was closed due to Easter. Still managed to see the sunset and took some really great pictures (in my opinion) and took the bus back for another 2 hours to get back to Athens. Just had dinner at the hostel and met some more travelers, 2 of them we might be meeting up in Santorini. Also talked to John-o, he works at the hostel, who claims that he told us the Temple of Posedon might be closed...I can't help it I have selective hearing!
Now off to bed where we need to get up super early to head to Delphi, they're recommending that we leave at 6:30 to catch the bus to Delphi...oh barf.
