Short and sweet because I have limited time.
Made it to Cairo after traveling for a long long time. Left Winnipeg Wednesday afternoon, arrived in Minneapolis, arrived in Amsterdam stayed there for 8 long hours before catching my plane to Cairo. Arrived in Cairo Friday morning at 2 didn't arrive to my apartment till like 5am. Somehow during this traveling I lost my Thursday.
My apartment is pretty big compared to Thailand, but it's a bit dirty and there are some interesting things that I've found...here's some of them..garlic and 2 potatoes that are starting to sprout and look mushy in my cutlery style drawers, open packets of ketchup in my fridge, glitter, and other interesting things. I have 2 bedrooms, one with 2 twin sized bedrooms which has now been called my Twins' room
I did get a cell phone but I don't know my number so if you want it. I'll send it to you, but it'll be pricey to talk so maybe texting, or skype or the good old facebook is the best way to talk. I don't have internet at my apartment yet, I'm hoping by this week I'll have something running. There's 3 wireless connections that I can see but all password protected.
Went to school today to check it out, and it's huge! my classroom is a tad small but it's pretty nice. On the plus side I see the pyramids everyday driving to and from the school.
If this makes no sense, I'm sorry it's been a long day and I only have a limited time on this computer.

My "formal" living room
. 2 bathrooms, one "formal" tea room (it has gold painted and fancy seating) one "less formal" room with my small tv, a dining room and a kitchen which has a gas stove so I don't think it'll be used much. It's dirty and I'm thinking of getting a cleaning lady come in. I don't want to have to deal with the potatoes and garlic. I did get a cell phone but I don't know my number so if you want it. Glad you made it safe!
I'm still so jealous you get to see the pyramids everyday :) Yay you made it safe! Your apartment sounds pretty sweet (except for the potatoes and glitter... haha). What did you do during your 8 hours in Amsterdam?
Re: Glad you made it safe!
4 of us wandered through the airport (I know it pretty well now!) and we made the best discovery in the world. Lounge chairs! so I slept for a really long time. It was good
