We have now reached Damascus, the capital of Syria. It is however Friday today, so everything is closed and there are only a few people in the streets, actually rather nice as heat and large amounts of people can be a little too much.
Today I found that little cafe I've been looking for for a while, it is a little slice of the West, with smoothies, women without scarves and a to-die-for chocolate gateau. I sat there for a while just relaxing, it was divine, sorta like Skyways in Nanjing.
