It is now a while since I actually climbed the mountain, but I'll now try and write the entry anyways.
Mt. Nemrut is an approximately 2500 meter high mountain in the south east of Turkey. At a distance it could be an ordinary mountain, but once you climb the mountain you see that a Comagene king has build his memorial on top of the mountain many hundred years ago.
The memorial broke in earth quakes over the centuries, so now what you can see is the disembodies heads and the stately bodies further up the mountain.
We climbed up the mountain in the late afternoon, so we could enjoy the sunset from the top, which was quite nice.
Climbing Mt. Nemrut was a little hard as the air got thinner as we reached the top, this made me a little nervous about climbing Mt. Sinai.
Well, I guess that's all I can recall of this day.
Take care,
Eva Maria
