Today was a semi-early start, it was at 8.30pm, but some people did find it a little hard as they had been out the previous night to a Turkish cultural night with a all you can drink bar...and you know how that usually works out.
The first thing on the itinerary was a trek through a valley where we could get close to some of the rock formations, it felt a bit like walking through a by gone time, the only thing that was missing was the dinosaur or other weird animals.
After that we went to the Zelve Open Air Museum, it was nice, but I prefer the Göreme as it was nicer done, a few paths at the Zelve were also closed as the had recently had some rock slides.
After Zelve we had lunch.
Both the valley and the Zelve were really nice places, as you can see on the pics once I upload them, but after a while you just get a little rock out.
In theafternoon however we all went wauw as we went to the underground city of Kaymakle. It's a city build underground, and it's not just a floor or two - it's eight floors, though only four are open to the public. Some passages were really low, but it was really amazing. They had everything underground; stables, latrines, ventilation shafts, kitchens, everything a city needs - except sunlight.
Well, it's getting a little late now and we have to get up in the morning quite early, so I'll finish for now. Take care.
Best, Eva Maria
