We plan to cross over to Morocco with Guillaume and Sophie, and as we head towards the ferry Grandpa throws a tantrum and starts making loud clunking noises (Aparently 9816kms is just too far). Our hearts drop as this sound feels serious. To scared to drive in fear of something breaking we pull over and call roadside assist. Grandpa gets towed to the nearest mechanic (VW) but sadly the Spanish are on a four day holiday and we have to wait until tomorrow just to have someone look at him. We are put up in a hotel (RAC have impressed us with their help) and wait. We are feeling home sick and long for English speakers, so we catch a bus to Gibraltar just to get a touch of the English life. Marks and Spencer's is our destination, we go alittle crazy buying food we miss (so hungry, haven't eaten all day) and scoff down some good old fish and chips.

As we enter back into Spain we realise that the Spanish cross regularly to buy cheap cigarettes and it semmed to attract a certain kind of spainyard. Happy and content, we enjoy the hotel and chill for the evening.

The next day, the VW mechanics can't even look at grandpa until Friday (three days) and they might not be able to even get parts. Spending the morning on phones with RAC, and our friend Maggie (fantastic help) to translate and organise. After a long morning and what looks like a long delay in our travels we manage to find a mechanic who not only looks grandpa, but has it fixed by the next day. What seemed like a week of going nowhere has turned out to be two days. YEAH!!!!  (The CV joint needed to be replaced, must of been the mountains)

As grandpa is safe at the mechanics (no chance of a break in) we leave him there for the week while we go and explore Morocco.
