The most beautiful city we have visited so far- best part 'Nyhavn', a row of colourful buildings bordering on a harbour filled with old ships.
As we arrive into Copenhagen we are meet with royalty, well the royal guards anyway. On their way to the palace we managed to end up driving right behind them...very cool.
We spent two days exploring and catching up with a friend of Soren's (also met in Asia) Simon. We wondered the streets and for the first time we saw a lot of things we wanted to buy- Design is the capital of Copenhagen with designers such as Georg Jensen and Royal Copenhagen.
On our second day we went to see the royal changing of the guards with of the people that turn up to the London one. But much more closer, there were no fences to stand behind so we saw every detail. You could literally stand beside them (as Soren bravely did).

When soren came here 15years ago he fell in love with  the little mermaid- determined to see her again he was HUGELY disappointed when we found at that she had be sent to Shanghai, for the 2010 world expo and in her place a piece of art designed by some guy (turned out to be a big screen with live coverage of the little mermaid in Shanghai- not very arty).

Afternoon / evening spent at 'Tivoli'- a theme park with a 160year old garden. Soren was in ore of the imagination that went into designing the rides and themes.

This morning we wanted to see the city from above, so we visited a church with a spiral steeple. Climbing 260 stairs, we saw an amazing view of Copenhagen.

With sadness we leave however onto Germany tonight
