I've figured out that actually living in England for a while with your family is entirely different than just visiting and staying in a hotel.

1) it's way more fun - you get carted around and shown cool backroads and tiny country pub's (Uncle Pete knows his way around England by where the pubs are! haha)

2) they give you tips on what places you really cannot go by train. *cough* Stonehenge *cough*

3) they are close enough to let you know when you don't know how to speak English

now this might confuse people seeing as English is my first language. well what they mean is that i don't know how to speak British-English. so i thought i'd let you in on some words that i've been finding out (and some i already knew)

sommet = something
bird (rude) = woman
bloke = man
copper = police man
knackered = extremely tired
spend a penny = go to the tiolet

chemist = drug store
shop = store
fortnight = 2 weeks
lift = elevator
loo/water closet = toilet
pavement = sidewalk
subway = pedestrian underpass
tube = subway

dummy = pacifier
nappy = diaper
pushchair = stroler

anorak = nerd
jersey, jumper and wooley = sweater
knickers = ladies' underpants
pants = underpants
trousers = pants
vest = undershirt
trainers = sneakers

coppers = 1p and 2p coins
quid = a pound
fiver = five pound note
tenner = ten pound note
a hole in the wall = ATM

so now we all know some English terms.

Today we hung out at Vicky's and i took some more pictures of the baby and Kayla too. Auntie Di and Uncle Pete and i went to a little country pub and for a drive in the country this afternoon.

tomorrow we're off to Cambridge to visit my cousin Nicola and then i'm moving house to Uncle Pete and Auntie Di's until i leave for Manchester on Thursday.
