Arrival to Santorini

We had a horrible night at the cheap hostel in Athens. While the location was great (and it was pretty cheap), the hostel was located right on one of the major avenues by a bustling square. Moreover, we heard kids running up and down the stairs all night, pretty much keeping us awake. To top it off, we had a lovely mattress whose springs basically protruded out of the mattress, making for a very comfortable stay. fº
We survived and managed to get to Pireaus to catch out fast boat to Santorini. After four hours, we arrived. While looking for our shuttle to the hotel, we ran into three classmates (Louie Reformina, Andy Mack, and Juan Bruce) of ours from Stanford Business School, waiting to leave the island. It¡¦s pretty typical to run into GSBers around the world, no matter when and where it might be.
For lunch, we went to Toast Club, a casual restaurant that serves Gyros and Pizzas. I had eaten there four years ago when he visited Santorini and raved about the Gyros. Needless to say, I was very satisfied with the food (Eugine wasn¡¦t feeling it as much as I was though). After lunch, we headed back to our lovely hostel (San Giorgio Villa¡¦s ¡V highly recommended) to make up for the sleep we didn¡¦t get the night before. We finished off the day by walking around Fira, the capital of Santorini, checking out the cute, small shops along the coast. We had dinner at Naoyssa and had some great traditional Greek cuisine.
