Well, we made it to Dallas,Tx. via Houston from Nashville! Our flight was only delayed by about a half-hour. Unfortunately our luggage wasn't so lucky. None of our five bags arrived when we did in Dallas. We were never made sure whether they got hung up in Houston or the point of origin, Nashville, but we were assured they were on the way. Several other parties also came from Nashville and none of their baggage arrived either. We were told that when they did arrive they would send them by courier, which they did... at two AM! But glad we were to get them! luggage

We're staying at the home of my sister Tracy and her family. This visit coincides with her birthday and mine, which are just one day apart, mine being on the 12th and hers on the 13th. A birthday party was held yesterday, Sunday, at a local establishment and a great time was had with lots of gifts and two custom-made cakes. The turnout was great and the facility staff was excellent. Birthday Party

Today, Monday, we waited till late morning and went to Fort Worth to play tourists. Fort Worth is still identified with the cattle industry. I am not a history buff by any stretch where Fort Worth is concerned, but they still preserve some of the old traditions. In fact, they do a scheduled moving of Longhorn cattle down a main street in the stockyards area. Fort Worth Cattle Drive

After a 'cowboy lunch' of BBQ, it was back to Dallas. Coon skin caps

We will be here till Wednesday, when we fly out to Flagstaff, Az. to meet up with Elaine's parents and her brother David.

We aren't sure what else they have in mind for us to see here in Dallas, but the family time would be sufficient. Hope you enjoy the photos and this update.
See ya down the road,
Quinn
