Hey everyone!! So, now I'm all settled into my home for the next ten weeks!! It took almost a week to find a decent place to live....which leads to a not so fun story!!
When I first got here, I was placed into a PRETTY scary place, from which I moved IMMEDIATELY! The red-light district is no place for me!!
I was then moved to a really cute little Bed and Breakfast in the nice suburb of Ponsonby. This place was good but my room was a shoebox so.... I finally was able to move into this cool backpackers lodge right in the Central Business District. my room is on the 13th floor though! creepy!
I've found out that my job is with the DOCNZ (pronounced Doc N Zed, which makes me Erin Zed by the way!). I'm in charge of developing branding guide lines for the organisation, which is right up my alley! Industry is really small here and there is also a talent agent that works with me. She is trying to convince me to go to auditions. Aparently a lot of American directors film here and look for people with "American accents" to play small roles. I dare not say what the auditions are for! (This way no one will find me on some strange TV Shows!)
Well, more later! I've rented some kind of a station wagon and have to figure out how to drive on the wrong side of the road and the car for my travels this weekend! This should be interesting.....

Pretty park on my way to work!

Walking around after work at the Viaduct
Auckland is a REALLY cool city! I'm really happy here! My new room overlooks the ocean and I can watch the sailboats, which is really fun! Everything is uphill here though and walking everywhere is a lot of work! I think I've probably walked 20 miles this week, ha!
