Ok! So I have finally arrived in New Zealand and it has been one busy weekend! The trip started out pretty stressful but I think I have the hang of things now! First off, Kiwis (New Zealanders) speak English, but they really dont! There are so many words and phrases to catch on to! It's a lot to take in! I stayed in Wellington this weekend with an orientation program for AustraLearn. We've been going NON-STOP! This place really is amazing! The people are all very friendly and the landscape is breathtaking!
On the first day here our guide walked us around the city. We visited the botanical gardens, beach, and a few other cool places!
On the second day we took a 4WD about an hour out to a beach and saw some New Zealand Fur Seals. This was the scariest drive of my life. The roads were tiny and wound all over the place!
I'm getting ready to head to to Auckland now to get set up in my new home! More Later!
Cheers!
