Rotterdam
Entry 8 of 71 | show all | print this entry |
Rotterdam was a nice relaxing release after the whirlwind that was Amsterdam. It is the most industrialized town we have been in with large buildings and modern designs. The cool thing is that all the buildings Rem Koolhaus works(the same guy that did the Seattle Public Library) and so the whole town has a really good feel. Everything just seems in place.
Our hostel was nice and we had a great dinner for cheap. We flirted a little with our dutch waitress and she didnt charge us for the beer or my dessert. I paid 14 Euro for a steak, a beer, dessert, tax and tip(a good one for not charging us for some things). I thought that was pretty sweet. We went to sleep really early because we had a huge train trip the next day and we had to get to the station at 7 am.
I have pictures but I recently moved them to my Ipod, so I will post them later.
