Lantau is almost twice the size of Hong Kong Island, and its highest point, Lantau Peak, home to the International Airport of Hong Kong and some of the finest trekking trails on the region, several important religious retreats, including the Po Lin Monastery and the adjacent Tian Tan Buddha, the largest outdoor Buddha statue in the world
