Hanging out in Athens!!!

We spent yesterday totally relaxing while looking out on the fabulous view of Lake Como. We went and had some traditional italian pasta for dinner and it was amazing. We even had a little wine in the evening and serenaded some locals with our version of 'The Prayer' by Andrea Bottchelli and Celine Dion... they even clapped!!
This morning we got up very early to catch a bus to Como (we also managed to wake up our other 4 roommates in the process of packing..

. I'm sure they were impressed!!). In Como we caught a train where we had to transfer to another train to get to the airport. Our flight was uneventful, and we arrived in Athens just fine where we took the metro to our hotel. We checked into our hotel... the guy at reception is hilarious!! We met 2 guys from Toronto as were all checking in and went with them to a local restaurant (at the receptionist's recommendation). The food was fabulous and we all swapped our Euro-travel stories... they were in Barcelona for the tomato fight thing... it sounded like tons of fun!!Tomorrow we are planning on sightseeing a bit here in Athens and then seeing if it would be possible to catch a ferry to Naxos in the afternoon/evening. We were thinking of going to a travel agency to ask them all about getting around the islands and good places to stay. However... we were looking online at the hotels/hostels in Naxos and they are super cheap with awesome ratings and tons of availability... so we're pretty confident that we will have no problems finding rooms anywhere... its not busy season here anymore so we should fine!! I will update you on our future plans as soon as I know!! Miss you!!
