First time since May we experienced a cool weather. Temperatures dropped to around 21 degrees. Evenings started to be colder, up to 15 degrees. We really did not like that at all, but we knew that the closer to Perth the weather will be cooler.

Monkey Mia is a big resort with a main focus on dolphins. There is a dolphin feeding every day at 7.30am. Whoever is interested might come up in the morning to be part of a nice spectacle. Everyone is welcomed to put their feet in the water (only 15 cm in depth to not scare dolphins). Then, dolphins are coming from the sea as they know the ritual that happens every day. All dolphins have their name and place in a family tree. Some day they do not come too close and sometimes many of them swim very close to people. They are extremely friendly.

Last day we went for a catamaran cruise to finally see a pearl farm (we missed it in Broome) and dugongs in Shark Bay. The pearl farm is located in the sea, about 500 metres from the shore. From distance it looks like an old building. When we arrived, there was a small exhibition and talk about how they produce pearls. We found out how complicated process it is. Then we could see shells, pearls or jewellery made from pearls. Rest of our cruise was get further in the bay to spot dugongs or dolphins. We were lucky to see both. Dugongs were grass feeding and we could see how they emerge from water to get air. On the way back one dolphin was playing with our catamaran by swimming and jumping in front of the boat. Nature in Shark Bay is amazing.

We spent in Monkey Mia three days. This time I did not go fishing and the water was very shallow and evenings were cool.
