I had a tight interchange at Koln but I made it ok. Although I did nearly launch myself out of the wrong side of the train before a woman thankfully yelled at me in time. There are these funny little half height service platforms inbetween the main platforms and the doors of the train will open both sides but you have to make sure you're on the correct side. I probably would have been ok the drop wasnt too great but I could have ended up with a twisted ankle. Oh and the station at Koln had a massive 4711 sign so I took a photo of that for you mum!

The couchette was fine. I was sharing with a Dutch guy who was on his way to meet his wife and kids in Linz, we had a little chat as he spoke a bit of English. Then two other women got on later. The train was enormous! I walked the whole length of it and it must have taken me 10 minutes to do so! There were some lovely sleeper coaches, like little hotel rooms they were so nice, but my couchette was just fine. It took me a while to drop off to sleep but I probably got about 5-6 hours of good sleep in and the rest was just dozing. Only about half an hour late we arrive in Vienna this morning...
