We're back! We've followed the Yellowstone River up from Billings to Big Timber (where we had our best motel yet) then on to Livingston. With the Rockies in sight we cycled up Paradise Valley, aptly named, to Gardiner (5,200ft) in lovely sunshine. Today we cycled into Yellowstone National Park climbing up to 7,500ft with mountains up to 11,000ft either side of us. It was awesome! The camera was red hot today as we took photos of buffalo, elk, a tottie peedie squirrel like thing, marmot, hot springs, geysers, waterfalls, mountains and rivers. We're in West Yellowstone tonight and it's nice here so we're going to stay 2 nights. The people are still as friendly as ever and that helps to make the trip special.
PS Our rear's are still holding out after 1,800 miles!!

My wife Nancy and I met Eoin and Rosie at a local pizza place in West Yellowstone last night. Wow...what a story and what a trip. Couldn't be nicer folks.....good luck!

Hey, your back wheel's going round!
Finally found your blog site with some info. from Mum. We're all impressed and jealous (Fiona's horrified!). Next time I'm going into an Edinburgh 20 mile head wind on my way to work, I'll think of you.

I was in Moab (cyclists heaven) a month ago but I would not recommend it now - far too hot for blue skinned Orcadian.

All the best,
Karl, Fiona and Annabella.
