Hi Guys! (as they say here) Coming into Montana was great. We did 90 miles and saw more wildlife than people (deer, antelope and wild turkeys). Montana's population is less than 1,000,000 but about three times the size of Scotland. The second day we cycled through the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation and were warned not to stay in it overnight, but when we were in the main town, Lame Deer, we were made to feel very welcome. It's been very dry here, no rain for 10 months, but 20 miles from the Battlefield (Custer's Last Stand) it started to rain and we couldn't see a thing. We had to cycle on to get accommodation, clocked up 120 miles that day, and got soaked into the bargain. We stayed in Hardin at the Camp Custer Motel for 3 days as it carried on raining. We never got back to the Battlefield but the rest was nice. Set off again today, cycled 50 miles to Billings in a head wind and gained 1,000 feet. Hope everyone's well.
PS. Thanks kids for the birthday presents, they're in good use. Love, Dad x.

Hello Eoian and Rosie. I hope you are having a wonderful time in America and are having lots of fun doing your cycle. Good luck for the rest of your cycle and I can't wait until I next see you.

Hi there,
As it is the Spring Bank Holiday, we have the Tonbridge Kids here for 3 days - and it is peeing down and blowing a howling gale! No surprise there then, I hear you thinking.
It is K&D's 20th Wedding Anniversary on Weds (28th) - seems like no time since we had the marquee in the back garden and a wonderful day.
Just of out to lunch now, then to see the latest Indiana Jones film.
Glad to hear that all is going well and that you are having a wonderful time. I am very envious = but not of the cycling.
Love, and the rest of the gang
Hazel
