Hi Folks! We left Hot Springs and headed through Wind Cave National Park in amongst buffalo, deer, prairie dogs and rattle snakes, but came out unscathed. Stopped in Custer for pie and ice-cream (must eat!), then saw Crazy Horse Monument before our night's stay in Hill City. Next day we did a 26 mile loop taking in Mount Rushmore (where the 4 presidents' heads are carved into the mountain). Guess what! Rosie had a mountainous piece of German Chocolate Cake for desert that night, it was awesome! Good job because the next day was into the wind, over some big climbs up to 6,500ft and covering 70 miles. The last 19 miles through Spearfish Canyon was spectacular. From there we went to Sundance, Wyoming (where the Sundance Kid was from) and saw the jail. Next stop was Devil's Tower, America's first National Monument, and on to Hulett where we're stopped for the night. Hope the weather's good tomorrow because we've got a 100 mile gap to cover and that takes us into Montana. Sshh, don't tell but it's Eoin's birthday today!
PS Hope you had a nice one! yesterday Billy. Hope that Paul is on the mend too.
PPS Just incase we don't get another chance to say it, we hope that saturday goes well and you (Tony and Jacqui) have a lovely wedding. All the best, Eoin and Rosie. XX
