Hi folks! We're back again having cycled a further 286miles. It's been eventful since leaving Amarillo. First we got flagged doon by a Police car because we'd been cycling on an Interstate for a short distance to get out of Amarillo, AND THAT'S ILLEGAL. OOPS! 25 miles on we took a wrong turn and after 5 miles thought we'd made a mistake. We stopped a pick-up truck and the man (Mr Hoover) told us we were on the wrong road. He was brilliant and gave us a lift to the start of the right road. Phew! After 20miles(with 20 still to go) and 90+ degrees F of heat, strong wind and dust blowing, we were getting low on water. We came across road men and they kindly topped up our bottles. Phew! But guess what! 2 miles on Rosie got a puncture. We saw a shaded picnic spot up ahead and got out of the sun to repair it. We got to Dumas having done 70 horrid miles. Since then it's been good again. We've been heading north to get out of the heat and decided to continue on up through Colorado. Hope you're all doing grand at home. P.S Dad, the bananas taste like bananas here! Talk soon. xx

Mad or what?
Hi Rosie and Eoin,
We are still in Australia, and spent today at Mittagong with Sylvia and Bruce. We all decided that you must be mad, or what?
We do admire you both tremendously for taking on such a serious challenge - something to tell your grandchildren about. We were reminded of you when I took a photo of us all, and we all similtaneously shouted 'Tak two'.
We return home in 5 days time, you have weeks to go - but I bet it will fly by just as quickly as has our time here.
Keep trucking, and keep posting. We are all thinking of you.
With love,
Hazel and Brian
Sam and Graham, Piper and Amy,
Sylvia and Bruce
that's unusual
How to hell did you fix Rosie when she got a puncture.
