Paris is probably the most beautiful city I've ever been to. What do I even say? There are parks everywhere and the river just screams out for walks along it's banks. Rob had never been there so we spent a few days just taking it all in. Paris is so clean!!! They are always cleaning the streets...
We slept in a bit then headed for the train station to book our ticket
to smsterfsm. If you can, book tickets in Switzerland , not paris! The
line was terrible.
Anyway we eventually get that over with and head for the champs
élysées. What an avenue! It is another lively day in Paris and there
are people everywhere just taking it all in. We decide to climb the
arc d'triomphe - awesome view, of course. You can see all of Paris
from up there!
Next I decide to visit the Orsay museum . This is a marvelous place if
you enjoy impressionist art . The entire top floor (where I spent most
of my time) was filled with the masters - van gogh , monet, cezanne,
Manet , pisarro, etc. It truly was wonderful and you could even take
pictures!
In the evening we did a bit of a night walk along the seine as I
wanted some night shots. The river is so picturesque at night! We also
lucked out as notre dame was having a special program in the evenings.
It was awesome to acyially sit in that place - a bit sombering too.
Tomorrow we close out Paris and head for our final destination -
Amsterdam !
