So it's 9am Monday and we are all the sudden in paris!!! Okay so I
learned some things:
1. Book in advance - you can always cancel!
2. Stay in hostels - hotels are overpriced.
3. Do more planning.
4. Night trains suck and railpasses are a total scam!
5. Don't forget to budget for transit passes in all the cities you are
to visit (they can really add up)

Okay now that's out if the way.. We first made our way to an
Internet cafe where we paid like €9 to use the Internet for an hour.
But we got the rest of out hotels booked. We then made our way to the
hotel international - in the 11th Arr. It's not a bad place, really -
everything is a bit pricey in Paris though.

I want to keep this a bit brief now as it's not mostly super new. We
went up to montmartre to visit sacre coeur - beautiful spot! And the
weather was rather nice too! The bracelet dudes were still there so
avoid them if you can! We walked atounf the area - lots of gift shops
and such. Seemed more touristy than before for some reason (nicer weather, perhaps).
We also walked down to the red light district - I wonder what it's like at
night?

After going back to the hotel got a shower, we visited notre dame. It
us absolutely amazing - it just might be more beautiful than St.
Paul's? I'm bummed that we didn't get to Ste chappelle , however.

We spent most of the rest of the night at the Eiffel tower. It really
is "Paris" at it's finest. Very cool to see all the people just camped
out there with their wine just waiting for it to light up. It was
colored blue this time and looked just awesome when it went crazy with
the flickering!

We did a bit of a stroll to finally find napoleon's tomb (I think)
before heading back for bed! Nobody sleeps on noisy trains!!

More Paris tomorrow and hopefully the D'Orsay.
