So this was clearly our day to travel - three countries in one day!
We started the day on a ship on Helsinki, took a ferry to tallinn,
flew to Berlin , then trained our way to Munich. Whew!
So the only real siteseeing on this particular day was on Tallinn.
This is a rather interesting place that really deserves more than 2
hours. It was apparently cruise ship day so the city was packed. It is
really set up for the cruise ships and daytrippers from Helsinki . The
old town is really very medieval looking and authentic. I really think
you can see the emerging status of Estonia , as new shops and hotels
pop up everywhere. Very nice.
There was a wonderful market right on the center of town. Yes it is
touisty, but we are tourists afterall so I think this is fine. I will
frankly say that I enjoyed the market in Helsinki more, although
Estonia was probly a bit cheaper.
From the main town to the airport is only 13 kroons ($1.30) if you
buy the ticket from a newsstand - take bus number 2 right to the
departure area. They also seem to have free wifi! From there it was on
to berlin (briefly).
Next stop: Germany!

Hey!
I was beginning to think you were too busy having fun to blog or something ;) I'm sure you will do a more in depth trip report when you get back right? So far all these entries are just little teasers... Have fun!
