stockholm - day 2
We finally arrived at arlanda airport around 11am local time! Better late than never I always say. The airport is absolutely wonderful - all the floors are wood! Customs was absolutely a breeze - we could learn a thing or two from these Swedes about welcoming people to our country.
Anyway, we next took the arlanda express to stockholm
- 240kr on the weekend. Everyone spreaks perfect English, btw.
We walk up this great shopping street en route to our hotel - hotel micro. The hotel is more than fine for our needs, even if we have to share a bathroom (595 kr).
Okay, on to stockholm
We next make our way down to gamla stan - the old town . This also
rather busy as it seems their is a cruise ship in port today. Here the
shops are very touristy, but the ice cream smelled like it was to die
for!
We have a big of lunch (rather pricey) - I had swedish meatballs. Then
we made our way to the royal palace. We even managed to be there for the changing of the guard. Very cool! It was not probably as ornate as the palaces in the other cities in Europe but it was still pretty neat.
After a rest at the hotel we head out to check out the nightlife which
is quite active, I must say. The swedes seem to have a thing with old,
crappy American cars and very loud music. We also happen upon a
concert - young people were everywhere!!
By the way, Swedish ladies are indeed pretty attractive. ;)

Re: Greeting from FarmingtonHills
Glad you made it
Hi from the exotic land of Kentucky. I'm glad you made it to Sweden at last. :)
Getaway in Stockholm
You didn't happen to see Driver X running through the streets around 4 am in a 911, NSX, Supra, or anything like that, did you?
american cars
Nope! Seems the swedes prefer american cars and american music, at least from what i saw!
Re: American Cars
Well, Driver Z (a girl) from Getaway in Stockholm 4 (or was it 5?) did have a Corvette convertible. You didn't happen to see her cruising around, did you?
