We returned to the East Coast on Wednesday night (Aug. 23rd). We had planned to spend the remaining weeks before our trip visiting friends/family, wrapping up loose ends (or at least trying to), and getting ready for our travels! The first week went as planned - we hung out with Pantea's family, spent some quality time with the Phelan's, and took a road trip with them to Maryland to see the Walters where we camped out for the weekend. While in Maryland, Pantea was able to catch up with some old childhood friends. We also had a great night out eating crabs on the pier and Eddie & Jimmy enjoyed the show at the Bay Café! On the drive back to PA/NJ we stopped in at the Ritz's for a quick visit and some yummy Indian food over which we learned lots about their Japan adventures (thanks for all the info!). This was followed by a fun tourist day trip to NYC (Pantea got to see 'Wicked' which was really amazing!), then we headed up to Hunter for what we thought was a final weekend getaway there. Unfortunately, our time at Hunter ended up being much longer than originally anticipated due to last minute problems related to the sale of the place. It took over a week to iron out the issues but luckily by the end of our time there everything was back on track as planned. We returned to NJ/PA happy about the results, but frustrated by the time wasted - we only had 4 more days to get everything done before our departure! We spent that time doing a lot of packing, organizing, down loading movies for the trip, last minute shopping, and saying our farewells - whether in person during short (but sweet!) visits, or on the phone! We hung out with Pantea's family for many yummy meals & got to celebrate her mother's birthday with a kebab BBQ! We also took a trip to King of Prussia/Conshohocken to see the newly wed Garabedians - thanks for a wonderful night out, the great investment advice, and the essential sanitation tip... Eddie is hooked!
