Arrive in Kansas

We left NYC on July 26th - Had lunch with Todd at the Country Kebab then went to the closing -- right after the closing we went to our former home, picked up our last remaining belongings, spent a wonderful 45 minutes with Parham, and headed to the airport for the first of many flights to follow.

1. Poolside Fun

Our first stop - Kansas! We spent about two and a half weeks relaxing at the 'Barnett Resort' and catching up with Eddie's family. During our stay we spent lots of time swimming, enjoying yummy food (many of which were poolside BBQs!), helping Cody get ready for school (enrollment was fun!), playing with the very cute but very mischievous Max (the pug), and organizing the rest of our travel plans. Other highlights of the trip were attending a really fun wine & food festival (the Grape Escape) with Kelly & Thayne, and spending an adventurous day at Oceans of Fun water park with Cody & friends! All in all, a good time was had by all :-)
