I can't believe the time is here, but tomorrow I leave for my staging event in Miami, FL for 2 days then am off to the Dominican Republic for training on Thursday morning.  It seemed like this day would never come after almost a year of the application process (mostly just waiting).

It is hard to realize that I will not only be leaving the United States, the place that I have lived for 22 years, but my family, friends, and people that have shaped who I am today.  That I will not just be able to communicate with everyone all the time, or be able to get in my car to drive and get something from the store.  Yet, even though I know I will face challenges, I know that this new perspective will further my growth and development as a strong individual.

Seeing so many people that I loved last night at my going away party was definitely the icing on the cake.  Thank you to all that could attend and making an effort to travel so far just to spend this special night with me.  It meant so much to know that I have all of your support.

And with that, here is my permanent address:

Justin Lee, PCV
Cuerpo de Paz
Av Bolivar 451, Gazcue
Apartado Postal 1412
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

The address listed above is for regular letters, to send a package send it to this address, though they suggest putting packages in padded envelope because they are less likely to be lost, opened, or taxed (DON´T SEND FEDEX, JUST REGULAR POSTAL SERVICE):

Justin Lee, PCV
Cuerpo de Paz
451 Avenida Bolivar
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
Telephone: 809.685.4102

After the completion of training, I will be receiving a cell phone to which you all will get the number.  The next time you hear from me I will be in the Dominican Republic!  Wish me luck and please send me some love :)
