First things first: love this hostel!
Advice: when you have recieved only 2 paychecks in your 4 month stay in a country dont go to an expensive city for a holiday or if you do have a really really goot time like we did.
Tokyo was supposed to last 6 days and that turned in to 11. you wont want to leave, or ar least you wont want to leave to go back to Kyushu.
I definitly recommend staying at the Sakura Hostel in Asakusa.
There is also a good Tex-Mex food restaurant called Junkadelic in Naka-Meguro, Tokyo. They have a good selection of tequila and really good tacos de pescado.
Other places to hit up are: Harajuku, Ueno, Meiji Jingū, and Asakusa Jinja. If you are there over New Year or the Emperors birthday go to the palace and listen to the Emperors speech, just be part of the crowd.
