After leaving Denver, we made our way to the Royal Gorge which has the highest suspension bridge in the world. Ashley and her family spoke about it which involved feeding wild deer and little shops. When we got there it was like an small amusement park and was $23 a person plus you weren't allowed to feed the wild deer
After that we just made our way toward Albuquerque complaining about the Royal Rip-off. Once we got into New Mexico, we hardly had any service and there were deer crossing signs everywhere. I only saw one far in the distance.
It's amazing how you learn what bugs are in the area just by the splattered ones on your windshield and front grill. From Kansas to Colorado, there were a lot of yellow grasshoppers and ladybugs. From Colorado to New Mexico there were dragon flies and little black flies. We also had one bird who unfortunately came a little to close.
We got the New Mexico and Sandy and Mike were super excited to see us. I was very entertained but their 2 little kitties. That night, we attempted to sleep while Zack and Zee the kittens still wanted to play.
On Sunday, we drove up to Sandia Crest where you could see all the cities in the area including Santa Fe. There was a house made out of rocks toward the top and we climbed on top of it.
Back in Albuquerque , we went out to dinner at Buca de Beppo, an Italian chain of the West Coast. If you have ever been to La Stanza in Woburn, it's just like that. There was a massive amount of food for a little price and we ate excessively.
Next Stop, the Grand Canyon.
