I've been quite skeptical about Queenstown all through New Zealand -mainly because people have really hyped it up like its the best place in the world for everything and usually when that happens its one of the biggest disappointments so I'd not really had any desire to spend time in Queenstown. Its the adventure capital of New Zealand so you can do just about any activity you like here in the air or the water and you can jump off pretty much anything attached by elastic or cord!! It also party central - there are 120 bars in a town with a population of 10,000 people (who must all be alcoholics!) but it is one of the most beautiful places that have ever seen. Its surrounded by snow capped mountains and a beautiful lake. We had a group photo taken as soon as we arrived down by the lake with the mountains in the background which has turned out really great.

We're staying in another base hostel -Kiwi have an affiliation with base which is rubbish because the rooms at base are always too small by the time you have everyone in one room and the showers are always cold but base sell lots of kiwi passes so thats why. All the hostels that Kiwi stay with apart from base are great and you can stay elsewhere so avoid base hostels!! They also use global gossip for internet which is one of the biggest rip off internet providers - use the little internet cafes where you get value for money!

Today is pretty much my last day with the same people on the Kiwi bus as most of them are either staying in Queenstown or heading back up to christchurch so it'll be wierd getting on a different bus on Tuesday but I am looking forward to it......check the crazy pictures!!!
