My collection of mozzie bites woke me up at 5am this morning, itching like mad! I think I have collected even more, I am sure the kids could do a dot to dot on my legs and make a pretty picture! The views we have over the lake are beautiful and I was quite happy with my tent until I saw the new rooms that everyone else have - I don't even have hot water!

We had a quiet and long breakfast until Ryan was pounced on by a baboon trying to steal his pancake. It was bizarre as we had been talking about the baboons and had decided they must be fine or the lodge would not allow them there, when the incident occurred. Ryan was happily eating the pancake when the baboon came running at him (it was much taller). Luckily Ryan threw his pancake, but as the baboon grabbed it he also hit Ryan across the head - luckily he didn't get bitten. It was a bit of a shock and we are all now more respectful of these animals Breakfast

Hooray - I have hot water! I have just had a scrub in my outside hot shower - fab!! We had a very lazy day today, the baboons have continued to be a pain - you cannot eat or drink anything on your own for fear of being attacked! We had a fab long lunch today, it was lovely to all sit around eating good food and having a drink. Flora and I had the Malawi gin, although we had to provided our own tonic as they had none! Lunch was the kuta caught in Mozambique along with a salad and various crisps - it was amazing considering it was thrown together with whatever we had left! We sat on the Davies balcony with a view of Lake Malawi for several hours!

After our long lunch we went down to the beach which belongs to the lodge. Its only small but it has canoes you can use and we had to have a go. It was actually quite rough on the canoes - more like being on the sea than a lake!
