This morning we had our usual 8am departure from Munich and were headed to Venice via Innsbruck. We got to Innsbruck not long after 10am and stopped for 40 minutes. While the guide took the people staying in Innsbruck to their hostel we were free to look around the town. I went to look at the house with the golden roof and also one of the largest Christmas shops in the world. It was a gorgeous shop that was about the size of 3 regular shops, filled with absolutely anything and everything that you would want to use to decorate your house or Christmas tree with. I’m not much of a Christmas fan but this shop made you fall in love with Christmas. From there I headed back to the coach that took us on through to Venice. To get us in the mood for Venice we watched The Italian Job, despite it only having about 10 minutes worth of scenes shot in Venice. We made it into the camping grounds just outside of Venice around 4pm. I have a little bungalow for the next 3 nights which is a little different to what I’ve been staying in but I’m sure it’ll be good. Tonight I had my first Italian pizza from the camp restaurant. A very different vegetarian pizza to what I am used to – spinach, eggplant, zucchini and potato on a very thin crusted base – really really yummy! (Saving one piece for my breakfast tomorrow!)
