I was showing my admin assistant a picture of Kerry yesterday and explaining that I was a twin. She asked me if there were any special powers between us. I said not really. She said that here twins are seen as being a bit different and can wish scorpions and serpents into someone's house. She told me a story of a twin putting a curse on his father, as his father had displeased him, and he couldn't go to the toilet all day. He had to appeal to the grandfather to get the twin to lift the curse. To be honest, sometimes I don't go to the toilet during the day, no matter how many litres of water I drink - as soon as you drink water here, it exits through your pores as sweat. So not sure he had that many powers at all! Wish I knew the scorpion trick though!
The guards of the house, office and Creni have all been issued with radios in order to communicate with each other
Today I bought the guards in the office a plant each, they could decide where it should be planted in the compound and they could also choose which plant they wanted. They chose two mango trees, two lemon trees, a guava and a papaya tree. We have also planted a few in our garden of the house but they are wilting fast under the strong sun.
Have a good weekend everyone!

It's a boy!
. It is supposed to be only in an emergency, but those who have got the hang of it don't stop chatting to each other. Again, it's quite funny to us, but they were trying to talk to each other without pressing down on the "talk" button and wondering why they didn't get an answer. So when that was explained to them, they didn't know to lift their finger from the "talk" button to hear the reply. Yesterday I gave them the international alphabet for the radios - A for Alpha, B for Bravo, C for Charlie, etc - and this was gravely studied by all of them. It's quite difficult for the locals to pronounce Foxtrot.
