It was brilliant and even better as it was free! There are a few rides there, the first one I went on was Van Helsing. This is like a set that you just walk through, almost like a haunted house. I haven't seen the film and wasn't scared at all. Back to the Future was my favourite ride, it was a simulator like an IMAX film, which was cool. I also enjoyed Jurassic Park, which apparently had an 80 foot drop at the end although it really didn't seem like it. It was refreshing to go on a water ride on such a hot day!
I also enjoyed the Special Effects Stage, Animal Planet Live!, Waterworld, allegedly the best theme park show in the US, and my favourite, Shrek in 4D
Another highlight for me was seeing the cars from the Fast & the Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious.
The best part of the entire day was the Universal Studios back lot tour. It was so good I went twice! (although the first time I was in the middle of the tram and didn't get the pictures I wanted)
I saw Alfred Hitchcock's offices, Jaws, Bates Motel from 'Psycho' and loads of different sets that get reused in all the movies! This was really special for me being a huge Hitchcock fan.
Desperate Housewives was filming it's second series today on Wisteria Lane, so Andrew will be very jealous - I've never seen it but he swears it's the best thing he's ever seen.
I couldn't believe the size of the place, apparently they have their own postcode, as well as a fire station! People were driving golf buggies around the backlot, it was that big.
Definitely recommended for people visiting L.A!
