So after setting off from Goole at 2am to get to stanstead for the 4.45am check in (!!!) we borded our sleazyjet plane to Tallinn. 2h35 minutes and yes it was full of people going on stag weekends, but we all managed to get some kip.
Bus from the airport to town was suspiciously easy and just 20Estonian Kroon each, excellent.
We eventually found the cheapest hostel on our list, apparently the streets of Tallinn wibble a lot in the old town, prob to stop Russian invaders.
Hostel is nice, bedroom has a lovely pine cladding all over, somewhat like a sauna, also the shower has many unusual looking... buttons. The hostel is full of rather drunk Estonians who seem very.. friendly.
We wandered round the town some, it is very cold at -4C, but luckily shops are nice and warm. We had some food, EmmaW went adventurous with a hot sandwich and some boullion, Becca had some meaty pancakes with cream, obviously. Emma R had some exciting... meat pizza....
We are now going to hunt out the Hell Hunt pubstaurant for dinner, see interesting picture!
Midnight bus to St Pete for 8 hours tommorrow, we shall be smelly and tired but in Russia!

If it's cold in Talinn what's it's going to be like in St Petersburg?!!! Get those thermals out! The Hell hunt place sounds... intersting!

Good to see the blog. You are in for a great time, great fun and some amazing experiences. If things do go awry from time to time don't forget that they add spice to the trip and the stories you will be able to dine out on for years afterwards.
