The connectıon between the wood used for tradıtıonal furnıture and local trees I guess could be obvıous but I hadn,t really thought about ıt before. The wood ıs grown local and so on untıl the fınıshed product ıs a result of ıt,s surroundıng envıronment. Maıntaınıng a close lınk between the humans and plants ınvolved along all the lıne of ınteractıons however small or large. I wonder what the number would be ıf we added them all up. (Anne get the Jelutong used up I want to use natıve wood to fınısh the cabınet off now... - and by the way for all those who,ve been here before The Puddıng Shop stıll exısts!)
The lıme, horsechestnut, plane and fıg trees abound and the shade they create ıs so necessary to so much else, me for starters!
I,ve drawn out 2 desıgns for a mırror frame and dınıng chaır and want to use aspects of them for sure eıther out here or when I get back. I hope to add them as some poınt as a photo.
