First off we apologize for late updates on the site. Markos dad's computer died on us and we have been on the road for a little while without any internet access.
Anyway, the weekend of the 26th Bombardier took us on a road trip to the heart of Taiwan. The tour began with a visit to one of Taiwan's most popular tourist destinations Sun Moon Lake. Sun Moon Lake is pretty in it's own right, but we have been spoiled growing up around fantastic inland lakes and waterways, so we were not as impressed as some of the other tourists.
After a day of boating around the lake we went back to our resort in the mountains. A fantastic dinner was followed by a refreshing night-time stroll. It was a really pretty spot.
The next day we headed up to the mountains for some hiking and sight-seeing. After a little while, we separated from the rest of the group to take a more challenging path directly up the mountain side. As we were climbing the mountain, we came upon to a ravine which could only be crossed by a hanging bridge. Half-way across the bridge we stopped to enjoy the fantastic view. This high up we were almost in the mist, surrounded by majestic rainforest and mountain tops.
As we were enjoying this unbelievable view, Marko decided to ask a very important question:
"Emily, will you marry me?"
Of course, being the romantic that Marko is, there was more of a speech involved, but that was the general idea.
So folks, as of August 27th, we are officially engaged to be married and we could not be happier. Also, for all you die hard fans - stay tuned to our website in the next couple of days to view a "mystery object" and some fantastic photography!
