After a huge breakfast we boarded the bus on route to the Amber Fort just out of town. One of the most impressive buildings we've seen yet, it was filled with beautiful Hindu and Muslim architecture, a number of invasive monkeys and countless elephants which were decorated in paintings and hangings and were taking people up and down the steep climb to the fort. We hired a guide and used the beautiful setting to take some good scenic snaps. In the afternoon we stopped off at the Lake Palace and the Palace of the Winds, the group then spilt and Emma and I went in search of the famous Jaipur gems and pottery. Despite falling for the Indian blue cow and desperate to take a blue china version home we both treated ourselves to having a gem stone ring made instead. After a quick rickshaw ride the group then reformed and we set off to the Raj Mandir, a palace converted into a cinema where we watched a Bollywood film in Hindi - an experience to say the least!
