After over sleeping and putting it down to jet lag we set out onto the streets with nothing but our money belts and a map. We headed straight for the metro and joined the long queue for tickets. Some time later, having made it through security and navigated our way to the right platform (not easy when all the signs are in Indian) we arrived at Connaught place, centre of New Delhi. A helpful Indian banker then sent us on our way (whizzing along in a tuk tuk) to the cci shopping centre (not the normal shopping centre we're used to - one up, one down) where we had fun looking at ornaments, carpets, tapestries, paintings and other Indian wonders. The man then asked if we would like to try some sarees on, and whilst I was looking rather causciously at my watch Emma, who was standing drinking some Indian tea chirps up 'yes she'd love to'. So he wrapped me up and Emma soon after (see photo). In the evening we met up with our group of 15 for the tour. All girls, American, Australian, Norwegian and two other English. Funnily enough the two english girls are our least favourite so far! We then went out for supper following our indian guide down the road to a local restaurant. Early bed tonight, 6 o'clock start tomorrow...
