After a week at my parents we came over to Dave's after a minor change of plan regarding transport.  The car we were sposed to be borrowing fell through so have spent the last week trying to sort out what to buy etc with Dave's dads advice.  Went to a couple of car auctions and on Weds ended up buying an 2002 Nissan Primera which is pretty smart.  I bid for it and won it and the adrenalin was incredible.  I think I am addicted.  Am even considering becoming a second hand car salesman to be able to go back.  Was an amazing place, really interesting watching all the characters and everything.

Rest of week have sorted out our new 'office' on the landing outside our bedroom (long commute).  I have now got a laptop too as I never managed to get near 'our' one previously.  Have sorted out more house stuff and got our Tynemouth house valued to put on the market.  At which point I should point out what are plans are:

- Plan last week was to wait to hear if we get Australian residency (prob hear about March time subject to our medicals - have got police checks back and are ok fortunately).  Then spend the next few months touring the country seeing people and educating ourselves in running our own business for if/when we get there.  Provisional plan is to move out there (touch wood) in August/September.  Still can't believe I am saying this seeing as I didn't even want to go there this time last year!
- Plan is still tbc but is subject to a possibility to earn some money in the coming weeks.  Still have same mid to long term plan but will see what happens over the coming days/weeks

All being well we will be moving our way north in the next couple of weeks and be back in Newcastle in March to start sorting out the sale of our house (fingers crossed) and what the hell we are going to do with all our stuff.

It is weird after all this time that we are still so keen on moving there based on 24 hours of loving one place, Noosa.  We haven't really waivered from this idea at all (despite my dad's attempts) and are still 100% committed to setting up our own business. I think I see it as fate in many ways.  It has also made it a lot easier to get settled in back here having something new and exciting to focus on and we literally haven't stopped since we got back, doing research and planning to go to business events etc.  Only one slight problem.  We have no idea what our business is going to be.  We have a few ideas, one of which will hopefully be launched in the next few weeks - will let you know.

Anyway, have attempted to divulge at least some of my feelings here but has been difficult doing as a lot has happened in the last couple of weeks and every day I feel differently about things.  We are still really keen not to forget our experiences and what we learnt about ourselves and our priorities.  Today, we were talking to Dave's Aunt about the bus crash in Bolivia last September.  It brought it all back to me and I am still keen to do something positive about this and all the other dreadful things we saw and witnessed.  Sometimes it is just difficult to know what that is.  Am still open to any ideas?

Before we go for now just wanted to say thanks to everyone for reading this and hope you have enjoyed it.  If you are thinking about doing a trip for a week, a month or a year then do it, it is lifechanging in every way possible, esp if you let it be.
Will try and sound less like Jerry Springer in future.

Right better go and cross off the next thing on our to do list.

Take care and keep in touch.

Em and Dave

PS - Will endeavour to update this intermittently although the photos will probably not be quite so interesting as previously!
