The longest day of our lives

Yesterday after doing all tínternet we went to do our chores and then went to see Danny, Helen and baby Lauren in Auckland at their house. No idea still what relation they are to Dave but was lovely to meet them too and Lauren was dead sweet and made me miss my nephew, Freddie even more. They kindly invited us to stay over too but I was actually quite looking forward to our last ever night in the van!

Went to dinner at Euro on the Quayside which was nice to go back down memory lane from our honeymoon. Not sure if we have become too fussy or connaisseurs (sp?) but we were a bit disappointed that the food wasn´t as good as we remembered but was nice anyway and cheaper than a posh meal at home. Then drove to our overnight spot by the marina near the oil depots (should have known better really). Were no other campers there which was a surprise. Slept ok but were woken up early by seagulls and oil tankers but saw a beautiful sunrise over the city so it made it worth it and had our breakfast on the bench outside in the sun.

2-Euro - Starter

Made some final phone calls home to use up our cards and then did some chores in town and packed up our van which was sad. Had to shell out over 100 quid for the windscreen which was not a huge surprise but a pain nonetheless. Then got the bus to the airport to head to S America. Were both a bit apprehensive about it but excited too.
