Unsurprisingly were first customers banging on the door at 7am where we had a fruit and cheese platter (local cheeses) which was lovely with Raspberry Latte and expresso followed by a raspberry crepe. The icecream in particular was gorgeous. Had a good banter with the manager here and decided we didn't know who to be more jealous of - she was jealous of our trip and we were of the restaurant and beautiful Tassie.

Next drove into Launceston (next biggest town to Hobart) which is a lovely place full of colonial verrandahs and oldish houses and autumnal trees and parks. Parked up for a while to do some internet work (research for our potential residency application) and then headed off down the main Highway 1 and then east to the coast. Stopped at Campbell Town on the way which allegedly is the home of deep fried mars bars - not sure if that is anything to be proud of but hey!

Then drove down Freycinet peninsula which was not part of our original plan but had seen so many photos of it decided to give it a go. Spent the night in Iluka Holiday Park where we bought Trevally fish and Chips and Blue Grenadier and chips. Nice fish but breadcrumbed not battered here (possibly a bit healthier??) Another early night after some phone calls home to discuss our potential plans.
