Today we took a trip which dropped us off at Jinshanling and we proceeded to walk for about 10km along the wall to Simatai.
The views were incredible - certainly meeting or exceeding expectations - the wall is very impressive - you have to see it to comprehend the scale of it all. Some parts of the wall were in serious disrepair and it was a very up/down walk (certainly not one mum would like!) with the occasional scrambling! Despite the exertion, it was an incredible experience which we would recommend to anyone - have a look at the photos which are unlikely to do it justice! More thumbnails ...
