Well I have to admit that the first part of my Paris trip hasn't exactly gone like I had hoped. We got here on a Saturday when the city was absolutely buzzing with humanity. I haven't been feeling well pretty much my whole trip, my throat has been really swollen and painful. But I just chocked it up to the stress of flying and being exposed to all kinds of crazy shit, not a big deal. But by my third day in Paris it had worsened so my Mother suggested we see a doctor. We did. Prognosis not good. Turns out I had an infection in my tonsils that had to be surgically removed. So I got to stay at a Parisian hospital for two days, what an experience! I can't post the pics cause my Mom's camera is acting up but trust me it was a trip! I had never had any kind of surgery before, leave it to me to do it up in style, Paris style to be exact. I did get a few pics around the Louvre before the whole ordeal so I will post those. Now that I got that out of the way, here's hoping the rest of the trip will be amazing!

Socialist.
Happy healing! I can't believe you even got to take advantage of their superior health care system on your trip - you're doing it all! Think about it, if that had happened at home you'd be claiming bankruptcy right now.

What the ?!?!
Toshi, itīs Lisa P! Only you would have surgery Parisīstyle! So glad you are okay and you had your Mom with you. I loved reading your entries! Lisa, Kara and I did Macchu Picchu yesterday and it was absolutely spectacular. Our guide did a great job giving us some history which was mind-blowing. The train ride back to Cuzco was the best Iīve experienced. We move onto to Lake Titicaca tonight and we are coming towards the end of our trip - what a trip! Canīt wait to see you back in the U.S. Love, Lisa
