Next City venture was Osaka, known for its party scene. Unfortunately we didn't see too much of this as we arrived to our hostel to find it wasn't really a hostel but accommodation for people staying for months on end. Lucky we were let in by a resident who let us crash on a spare bed...we had different accommodation booked for the following night in a real capsule hotel!
The capsule hotel was odd, we were given robes to wear around the hotel and everything had to be put in a locker so everyone had the same red key around the neck, we felt like we were in an institution, but it was great! free shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, we made ourselves look human again after our first rough night in Osaka! We headed out for some good grub, already a little full up on the whole noodle soup or sushi combo but not allowing ourselves to go to the western food stores we had some fresh Japanese vegetables! That night we headed to Umeda Station area, buzzy and full of restaurants and bars.
